Boyd Ratnaraja led the men in powerful worship at the new Hope Centre venue. It was a fantastic start to Influence 2016, and then the awesome speaking team got going… Wayne Poutoa and Tony McKeown both shared their stories. They started completely differently but shared a common ending, with God changing their lives in miraculous ways.
Seth Fawcet related the father heart of God to the men. Richard Brunton then gave an introduction to the father’s blessing which became one of the most impacting elements of the Event.
As usual for the PK Wellington Event, it rained. The guys were not deterred at all and gathered on Saturday morning to hear Nick Tuitasi talking about life purpose. Aaron Ironside was another speaker whose topic gripped men as he spoke on renewing the mind.
After lunch we launched the new Electives initiative with a wide variety of topics to interest everybody. Stephen Miller gave some great advice on how to spice up your marriage!
A highlight of Saturday night was hearing Nick interview David "Tuaman" Tua. Then Seth wrapped up the Event by talking about your influence.
As the men left for home, they took with them insights into many topics that can bring hope and change, and a plan to move forward!
Eddie testified, "The main highlight for myself was the time when I was given the opportunity to rededicate my life to Jesus Christ… to turn from porn and sexual offending and leave it all behind, and to move forward with Jesus Christ as my focus."

Mark shared, "At PK 2015, God had me crying at almost every session. I sensed His love for me. It was special. You see, I had no job for over two years and this had put even more pressure on my marriage. God's power was evident in two ways: 1) promising to resurrect my marriage; 2) strengthening me to stay despite all the evidence my marriage was over. It is now PK 2016 and I have my marriage back - praise God! I am changed. Through this year my commitment to the Lord has been so much stronger. In the end, God worked on me!"
Richard said, "It always impacts me. God turns up and changes blokes' lives in a way only He can. I'm always a better man for being here."
