Encouraging and Equipping One Another

As a network we are here to encourage and equip men to understand and engage in the vital role they have in the Kingdom of God. This is becoming more and more imperative in the turbulent social times we live in.

Our focus this year is on connection with a particular emphasis on one of our most powerful tools in this process, the men’s group. Men who can encourage and empower one another on a regular basis through the labyrinth of life in all its facets.

We are planning to visit towns and cities across this nation returning to our heritage as a grassroots movement. This is being built and expanding from the initial visits we were able make last year despite COVID. Like Jesus, who often gathered with people for a meal, we choose to gather around the table through breakfasts to encourage and empower men to engage with their region and local community, expanding the Kingdom of God.

This year we plan to visit 14 centres across Aotearoa from Kerikeri to Invercargill. We are planning PK Local events in Kerikeri, Whangarei, Auckland, Huntly, Hamilton, Napier, Palmerston North, Carterton, New Plymouth, Wellington, Christchurch, Ashburton, Oamaru, Dunedin and Invercargill. There are also another couple of regions we are still exploring. Our aim is to leave an interdenominational taskforce in each area to help local churches with their men’s ministry. Also, to have encouraged and equipped new men’s groups.

We continue to work with our weekly emails to encourage and strengthen men and the WiseChoices programme with daily devotional emails, videos, and monthly e-newsletters. [Find out more about WiseChoices here]

We renew our commitment to producing three high quality online web-based breakfasts available across the country.

You Make A Difference

Like a race car pitstop team we all need each other to play our part then together we achieve more. You make a vital difference to the effectiveness of our overall endeavour going forward. Unfortunately none of these things happen without considerable cost in time and money to the network. We are offering you as members of the network the opportunity to contribute financially to these significant projects. Here are ways you could do that:

  1. Ongoing monthly or weekly donation.
  2. One off donation.
  3. Sponsor part of a regional event maybe koha for a speaker or airfares. (Donate reference: Regional)
  4. Sponsor an online breakfast speaker’s koha or some of the other costs. (Donate ref: Online breakfast)
  5. We have realised through COVID lockdowns that our laptops are not up to the task. Maybe you could contribute to the cost of replacement of these (estimated at $1500 each) as we continue to try and make ourselves more efficient for you and the network. (Donate ref: Laptops)

We are also still recovering from the effects of the COVID financial downturn. For us that means we are down 20% in our donations from 2019.

I ask you to prayerfully consider which of these options you can pick up, remembering no contribution is too small, the Lord understands your capacity to give. Consider how you can meaningfully contribute to the ongoing financial wellbeing of this unique Christian men’s network in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Blessings
