Pastor Fa'amatuainu Wayne Poutoa is the pastor of Carterton Baptist Church. Wayne is a former Mongrel Mob patch member turned pastor. He works with the church, community and in youth initiatives helping at-risk youth see a life of purpose ahead of them. Wayne is a Samoan Chief and previous Porirua City Councillor. Pastor Wayne is the recipient of a "Vodafone World of Difference" Award and a "Kiwibank Local Heroes" medal. Now Wayne is focusing on new goals towards building and empowering a "Vision Action Team" at Carterton Baptist Church, to serve and inspire the wider Wairarapa community.
