Who Am I?

“You don’t know who you are until the pressure goes on!” Jesus showed us how to live in right relationship with God. When He walked the earth, Jesus knew His identity. God had spoken from the clouds at His baptism and called Jesus His Son. He had a divine purpose, He was safe and secure, He belonged and His Father took care of His needs. In contrast, after the fall, the first Adam felt rejected and had a need to belong. His guilt and shame led to a need for self-worth. Adam had weaknesses and needed self-control. We tend to identify ourselves with our successes and disassociate ourselves from our failures. Identity can be based on our clothes, car, income, job etc. Too often, what we do shapes who we are. But it should be who we are that determines what we do. I live |
God wants to change that into the image of Christ, to be transformed so that you are a son of God; you have purpose and significance.
Transformation is a process (Rom 12:2). To be transformed, we must first deal with the lies and misbeliefs in our lives.
What name does God call you by? He wants to change your name and change you so that you understand that you are a son of the living God. He knows your real name.
“And a voice came from heaven and said, “This is my Son, in whom I am well pleased”. (Matt 3:17)
