Pastors are Vital

PASTORS - YOU ARE VITAL TO THE SUCCESS OF MINISTRY WITH MEN

91% of effective Ministry with Men Groups are pastor-supported. Without your support your Men’s Ministry leader only has a 9% chance of success. [Ref: Focusing Your Men’s Ministry]
Men will follow a leader, not simply a program.

Jesus is our model and example. He spent 3 years with 12 ordinary men. Real men: tax collectors, fishermen, etc. Jesus gave us a picture of support which includes involvement.

The primary purpose men attend church is to grow spiritually and build true male friendships.
Men are looking to the pastor to help them achieve this goal. As pastors invest time into men and reveal a clear process for spiritual growth, these men will become men of purpose, who will be an example and model to all those around. They will then truly be the salt and light they are called to be.

Men’s Groups
Nearly every day we get requests from men seeking to join a men’s group or church where there is an active Men’s Ministry so that they can contribute, grow and be matured. As a result of these requests we have started a register of men’s groups to meet this need. Make sure your men’s group has exposure!>>>

Bloke-Friendly Environment
The pastor is in a unique position to influence the church environment so that it can become inviting for men to attend, not an obstacle in the path of church attendance for them. We would encourage pastors to view the DVD or read the book from David Murrow called “Why Men Hate Going to Church”, so that when men make a decision to follow Christ at an outreach meeting, this decision can then be processed in the context of the local church.

A Promise Keeper is committed to supporting the mission of his church by honouring
and praying for his pastor and by actively giving his time and resources.
