Pastors Testimonies 2009

AUCKLAND
Yes I feel have put behind past hurts as a pastor particularly being criticized by “church” self righteous authority. Michael, Ranui
[Highlights:] Geoff Wiklund and Dean Comerford’s “Church for Men” breakout – good info, well presented and inspiring. Buzz, Huapai
The impact of this ministry on the lives of men has blessed my heart immensely. I love how Promise Keepers is impacting the growth of the church in our nation. Promise Keepers is always an amazing God time. A time to refocus and refresh as a pastor. It’s also been a great tool for the same in the life of every man we have brought. Richard, Waiuku
Very good; well done to the PK team! Excellent mix of speakers and input. Music was great. Was thrilled that you have some Polynesian speakers. Martin Steel’s input was very good. The pastor and ministry leader’s breakout was very good – really helped our team of four who attended. [How do you think attending this Event will assist you in your Christian walk?] It is helping us build momentum in our Men’s Ministry. It is helping us build momentum in “manning up” our church. Erik, Onehunga
great to sing familiar songs in a key I can handle. Great visual/DVD clips. Honesty of panel discussion. Very good Event! Ross, Whangarei
Well run, challenging, encouraging and practical. I come away inspired and encouraged to serve God as a pastor, friend, husband and dad.
Great resources and practical tips for the journey of faith. Markus, Putaruru
I am a son of the Most High God. It is so awesome to see God change men’s lives in our men’s group. They were challenged, encouraged and given new vision to live for the future. Peter, Kaikohe
The Word of God in His Spirit’s power always challenges me face on, like a big Mack track that leaves no way of escape. Conviction comes, then follows confession of my sin. Praise God for all who have received Jesus as Lord and Saviour. I praise and thank God for PK, all speakers, organisers and fellow servants of God, from the greatest to the least in obedience to God the Father in Christ Jesus. Brian, Manukau
Great. Something for everyone. Grant, Hamilton
Great Event – I loved it. It is refreshing and motivating. The worship was awesome, the speakers were great. It was also great seeing all these people united in worship in the Lord and to see so many souls saved. Mthunzi, Ruawai
They are changing for good each year. Worship songs are great with good direction. Kelvin, Waiuku
Good organisation at all levels. Variety of speakers and preaching styles. Valuable insights from the panel discussions. Ron, Avondale
Well run - tight and active schedule. Good diversity of speakers. Good resource tables. Great camaraderie. Professional and sharp AV. Todd, Milford
Overall impression was very good. I have attended seven Promise Keepers Events and have always been encouraged, challenged, excited, spoken to by God and rejoiced in the worship, laughed at the funnies and taken resources home. It is my annual catalyst/encouragement for Men's Ministry. It keeps my vision alive and sharp. Collin, Henderson
Very well presented - much of the presentation was timely with respect to where we are right now as a nation. Some of the singing was transporting into God's throne room material. It has given our group a determination to begin doing some Men's Ministry as a group. (In the past we have joined in with others in support.) I saw some things with respect to Men's Ministry and its impact on other ministries I have not seen before. It is an hour when the Christian men of this nation stand up rather than shut up, put up rather than put down; the time to see the name of Christ glorified. Alf, Onehunga
This Event, as with previous ones, has been such an inspiration to the men and our church. The fact that the Event has been dealing with the issues of the heart and moulding and shaping me into the man who He wants me to be has been amazing. Tendai, Pakuranga
I get a lot out of the road trip to Promise Keepers with our guys. It makes quality time to get to know the guys. I was again challenged about living my life for God to the fullest. Tim, New Plymouth
WELLINGTON
Great atmosphere, quality music, extremely well planned and organised. Video clips introducing topics are very effective in capturing attention. The effort the organisers have put into making the Event relevant, humorous, challenging and highly motivating is commendable. Phil, Lower Hutt
Good presentation and topics. John, New Plymouth
Another wonderful weekend of manly challenges, fellowship and fun. Inspiration and vision for men from churches to arise as effective sons of God for the family, the church and the world for Jesus. John, Wellington
I liked the way the whole program is so well planned and presented with good praise, good humour, powerful presentations and talks. The best thing has been the encouragement to our fairly small Men's Ministry. Hopefully will help us develop this ministry further. John, Wainuiomata
Excellent use of time - great organising and structure of the whole conference - quality right through. This is the most strategically important investment for men who want to find direction and be challenged for life. Appreciated the time at [the] end of session to wait on [the] Holy Spirit to speak into the deep. Pete, Masterton
In my opinion this has been by far the best Promise Keepers conference that I have been to. The Pastors’ session was informative, motivating and empowering. The content was punchy and relevant to where I believe God is wanting Men's Ministry to go in New Zealand (discipleship). The week prior to conference I really believe that God was asking me to take my marriage to another level. The very issues that I was mulling over were addressed by Mike Gorrie and Meyer. The areas of intimacy and transparency. Isimeli, Lower Hutt
I've been before, knew it was good, but haven't come for a few years; it wasn't a priority. This year, it was. I felt dry in my Ministry to Men in my church. I knew I needed a fresh injection of the Holy Spirit. And I got it. For the first time, I attended the pastors and leaders breakout. It was really worthwhile. I have a new understanding of my group's current situation and desired future state. James, Wellington
TAURANGA
Wonderful to see God move amongst the men. Restoring the human heart. Jack
Great as always. Geoff, Te Aroha
Best yet! Fantastic! Refresh and refocus on different areas of my life. David, Taupo
CHRISTCHURCH
It is always good to receive such good teaching that speaks directly into the life of men in a way that men understand.
I could hear God clearly saying to me, “As you begin your ministry in the place that I lead you; hold My hand and I will show you things that you have not yet even seen. Just trust Me still.” My wife Denise tells me often that she loves it when I have been close to God because when I come home the glow of Christ is very visible on me and that helps her to feel Him and know Him in her life. It is as though I bring Him home with me in a way that she can clearly see and feel. When I attend PK I come close to God. It is me saying to God “I am totally Yours today; no distractions.” His response blows me away. Barry, Christchurch
