How many of your friends have been wounded by moral failure, broken relationships or loss of faith? Have you been affected? Some men crash in a fiery explosion. Some men just drift quietly off and drown.

Jesus called his followers to love one another. Sacrificially. That could mean dying so they may live. “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” John 15:13. It will certainly cost something – time, resources, care.

As men, we tend to become isolated easily. That just makes it so much easier for the enemy to pick us off. The military respond to enemy action by teamwork and tactics. As Christian men we have to become smarter at looking after each other. That means working together, looking out for each other, praying together and helping out when needed – whatever the cost.

The strategy is to “leave no man behind”, so that we all grow spiritually and we all face up to and overcome whatever life throws at us.

Promise Keepers is determined to strengthen men, strengthen men’s groups, strengthen churches and men’s ministry. When these are stronger, men will also be stronger. Men will be more capable of being towers of strength and of showing Christ’s love in their families, workplaces and communities.

In 2008 Promise Keepers is rolling out the strategy to fulfil the Great Commandment and Great Commission in a way that works for all men.
