Tips from past successful groups

Roadtrip: Don’t underestimate the huge benefits of your men uniting as one Group. See Roadtrip sheet for more ideas on how to maximise the PK experience for your men. |
| • |
Commitment: When making bookings on behalf of others, men need to be reminded that they are making a financial and time commitment. Therefore this should be marked on the family calendar so that the time remains available, and a deposit should be taken - especially if the booking is being paid for by the church or Group Leader. |
| • |
Subsidies: In our experience, men rarely appreciate fully subsidised registrations. If the man being sponsored is challenged to contribute something towards the cost, you will find that he is more committed and therefore far more likely to attend. Ask him how much he feels he can contribute towards the cost – you may be surprised. |

Refunds/transfers: If a man is unable to attend, his registration may be transferred to a new member of the Group, or he may choose to gift it to someone else. Please inform the Promise Keepers office of these changes as soon as possible. Promise Keepers is unique in that we do offer refunds right up to the Event, but this should only be used in genuine need – ie bereavement, sickness, hardship. Please note that an administration fee of $25.00 is deducted from refunds. |

Youth: Dads should invite their sons, but don’t expect them to come alone! Encourage them to bring a friend, cousin, or members of their youth group. These young guys may be giving up other opportunities to come with you to PK - so appreciate it and make the most of it! |
