Men's Small Group Questions

How to use these questions:

Print these out and cut them up so that each individual question is on a slip of paper. Put them into a container and have them available at your Men's Small Group meetings. When appropriate (probably not every meeting), each guy should draw one out randomly without seeing the question, and then answer it.


What was your biggest joy recently? Did you thank God?

What are you wrestling with in your thought life?

Did you worship in church this week?

In what ways have you launched out in faith since we last met?

Do you have goals? Have you been working towards your goals this week?

Have you been parenting with the future in mind this week or have you just been focused on the present?

Are you proud of how you have handled your child/ren this week?

Have you said sorry easily when you made a mistake lately?

With their love languages in mind, what have you done recently for each of your family members?

When did you last have a date with your spouse? When did you last have a ‘date’ with your son or daughter?

What would be the one thing you would find the hardest to sacrifice or give up to God? (What can’t you live without?)

What emotion do you find the hardest to handle, or has the strongest hold on your life?

When did you last tell your family members you love them?

Have you gone out of your way to welcome someone new to church, to your neighbourhood, workplace, or interest group recently?

Have you been handling things proactively or reactively lately?

What particular situation would you like to be able to handle better than you do at present?

Is there someone who needs your prayer covering right now? Stop and pray for them.

In what ways has God blessed you this week? What disappointments consumed your thoughts this week?

Pick someone here today and tell them what qualities you most admire about them.
